#1 One nice thing about on-going low-level wars and 'police actions' is that you get to test your new stuff under real-world conditions.

#4 Deer hunters everywhere would like to give it a try. Can we replace the main gun with a 12 gauge?

#6 ^Yep, these depressions on the turret - are they for catching shells?

#7 One A-10 with F-16 air suppression/EW accompaniment, and say goodbye to an entire tank battalion. In thirty seconds.

#8 The US Army has been discussing unmanned turret tanks for 25 years (maybe more). Less space to protect means a lighter tank or more armor/defense in other areas. With auto loading and auto target tracking, a 2 man tank is possible, further reducing size and weight.

The T-14's defensive systems are really intriguing. Dazzlers to disrupt laser and imaging tracking missiles and the Afghanit active protection system (APS) is supposed to disrupt both ATGMs and kinetic energy penetrators, though, it looks like, only in the frontal turret sector. US US M-1s and M-2s are just beginning to get APS.

Open question is can the T-14's main gun penetrate the M-1s frontal armor, unlike the T72/80/90?

#10 these depressions on the turret - are they for catching shells?

Le Wiki suggests:
Defense Update released an analysis of the tank in May 2015, speculating that Afghanit's main sensors are the four panels mounted on the turret's sides, which are probably AESA radar panes spread out for a 360° view, with possibly one more on top of the turret.
