#2 Thunberg's legions are 'striking' from home, unheeded and ZFGed by the world. Also, it's no fun playing hooky when the school asks you not to come.

#4 When the time is right, having interesting fish flourishing in the canals would probably be a great advertising point to help revitalize tourism. I've never personally seen a single fish in a Venice video, so that would be new.

#5 @ #3 - I'm sure with all of the travel restrictions, Greta is not getting around all that much. (/sarc)

#7 Don't tell those climate scientist that it only takes a few weeks for the planet to begin "healing" itself. They need their grant money.

#9 Yes, the mayor of Venice said the sediment is nasty and it's just waiting to be stirred up again. Italy obviously has much bigger problems, but the tech used to move sand off shipwrecks in treasure salvor operations could probably get a lot of it up for proper disposal while there's no traffic in the canals. Won't happen, but probably could be done.
