#1 Not to be disrespectful to Ms. Walter, but there were downsides to the staffing of defense plants by women. Of course most wars generally have unforeseen downsides. Again, no disrespect intended. They did what had to be done.

#5 Back in the day welding aluminum was tricky . Way to easy to burn through or lose the puddle.
