#1 As I predicted (and you didn't believe me), Biden will be the candidate, and most likely with Bloomberg's money.

#2 Well, your call was right but your analysis was off. Biden's success has zip to do with Bloomberg's or anyone's money.

I'd guess the explanation is about 80% due to the African-American vote going with Obama's VP, with the remainder owing to the coronavirus scaring people and making them risk-averse.

As to Bernie he seems to have become the La Raza / Chicano candidate. Yet another reason to end the scourge of Mexican / C. American low-end mass immigration.

#3 Biden also won Mass. and (probably) Maine.
And I guess Texas, too.

#4 ^ Those are the people (outside of VT's shitty little hippie/red neck enclaves) who know Bernie and Fauxcahontas best. Familiarity, contempt... No wonder the good people of MA and ME rejected both of those ridiculous morons.

#7 I watched the post-game.

Be it the animatronic emotion laden words of the ladies or the inebriated hype of from the guys, they all wore the heavy gauntlet of government and the broach of moral superiority.

The cute little montage put together is chocolate over the Red Hots of the full transcript.

Indeed. Democrats created a monster and now they don't know if they can control it. Yesterday's results must be encouraging for them but, as the demographics continue change, it will become more and more difficult.

That's not what I said. I predicted that Biden would prevail and THEN campaign with Bloomberg's money.

Which is the worst case scenario for Trump. Biden is a flawed candidate, but his flaws are well known and already "priced in".

All he needs now is a convincing VP. My bet is on Klobuchar.

#10 And I guess Texas, too.

A number of voters with whom I've spoken selected Biden for the run-up and intend to vote Trump in the final.

#11 EC,
Many a slip 'twixt cup and lip.

I seriously doubt that "Sleepy Joe" has the mental stamina needed to hold up against months of withering, 24/7 attacks by Team Trump.

He's clearly feeble, past his prime, often bordering on incoherent.

What he has faced so far in the Dem nomination race is trivial: "wicked witches, doddering old men and funny boys," in Besoeker's apt phrasing.

He's not fit. He's even less competitive as a candidate than his predecessors Dukakis and Mondale.

Of course a lot can still happen. But with Bloomberg's money machine and ground game behind him, Biden can afford to stay above the fray.

Every attack Team Trump may launch against him can be countered tenfold now. Bloomberg wants to see Trump gone.

Many people think Bloomberg wasted his money. Trust me, he didn't. He's reported to have added 2.5 bn dollars to his wealth in the last 12 months.

It's not over yet, of course. But my money would be on Biden.

#13 Fear and loathing of Trump should not substitute for cold eyes analysis.

If I had Bloomie's money I would not waste it on Biden's third (!) run for presidency. He was a weak candidate the first two times; he's a lame and withered version of his earlier self.

Still worse: the American people have only just begun to learn about the massive, endemic, billion $$$ corruption of Biden's brother. And then there's his son.

Every single charge brought against Trump is actually more true of Biden: weird and erratic? Check. Flaky? Check. Using the power of his office to suborn corrupt interventions by foreign prosecutors to benefit a family member? Check. War profiteering on behalf of his brother? Check.

$500 million would be better spent betting on Trump's re-election.

#14 Hillary spent $1.2 billion in 2016 (campaign + PACs), Trump spent $650 million. How did that turn out for her?

This time Trump will likely raise $2 billion if needed so Bloomberg's money doesn't look all that scary, especially when spent on behalf of a corrupt blowhard fast entering senility.

In addition, Trump now has a successful record, has strip searched, anally probed and verified to be squeaky clean, while Biden has ... well he'll always have Hunter.

#15 Hunter's a piker compared to Biden's brother James. War profiteer hired specifically to win, and given one-third of the profits from, a $1.5 BILLION Iraq reconstruction housing contract awarded while Biden was Zero's point man on Iraq in 2010.

War profiteering.
A large chunk of a billion and a half.
For "reconstruction" in the Iraq shithole.
To James Biden, VP Joe's brother.

Biden has not even begun to face serious criticism, let alone fierce attacks.

If he's struggling to remain calm and coherent now, there is no way he'll survive the firefight he will be in following the convention.
