#1 "Death to $YOUR_NAME_HERE" seems to be a perennial feature of Islam. Yeah, it's catchy, but not really much of a basis for anything.

#2 After the arrest of the ambassador they're escalating exploratory aggression.

Storming the embassy and taking hostages would be the next step unless there's some push back.

Iran has a history of testing adversaries repeatedly.

This is not a foe who is completely irrational.
