#1 It bad being Republican.

#2 On the one hand, a republican politician, especially in a blue state, should understand he has to be squeaky clean. On the other hand, once they get to Washington DC, they all go native and rationalize that "everyone does it." Add the fact that state level GOP organizations repeatedly let freaks like Roy Moore and Todd Akin into the ranks virtually unvetted and you have a recipe for problems.

#3 Too bad the Hunters couldn't live on a $174K salary + great benefits + all the (legal for Congress) insider trading in the stock market. America feels for them.

#4 Hunter was my congresscritter and betrayed us with his escapades. I hope he'll be replaced by Brian Jones or Darrell Issa (who's carpetbagging in but has $$$)

#5 Sad that hunter and Duke Cunningham both went down in flames. I liked both and yet they couldn't keep it clean in a state where you know the knives are always out when you have an (R) by your name.

#6 I suspect Duncan's problem may have been his bunkmate.

#7 I thought that at first, but he also couldn't keep it in his pants and made plenty of his own bad decisions. His Dad is embarrassed

#8 I knew a fella that flew with Duke Cunningham in Vietnam. He told me the entire story, a very, very sad story. It almost brought him to tears.

#9 Yeah,...Cunningham's situation was worse for what he did.

#10 A huge disappointment. It's gratifying that voters in that district reelected him in 2018 in spite of his crimes instead of electing Ammar Campa-Najjar, the Democrat who ran against him. That was very wise of the voters in that district. Whatever Hunter did, the time to deal with it was in the next election. Scary how often crooked Republicans get replaced by crooked Democrats.
