#8 I really wish Russia could get along with Israel.

It seems to me that Vladimir Putin has a sentimental connection with what he thinks of as the Russian diaspora in Israel — the Jews who fled the Soviet Union and afterward. But he has a stronger connection with Syria as a legacy Soviet client. And to be fair, Israel is not likely to send masses of troublesome refugees fleeing toward Russian territory, committed jihadis embedded among them, nor will Israel give Russia a Mediterranean port. So for Russia, Israel can mostly be safely ignored.

#10 Well sure, g(r)omgoru. Every once in a while, Israeli airplanes are noticed flying invisibly through the Russia-supplied warning radar on their way to and from bombing something.
