#5 The new members of government have perhaps not yet consulted together to establish policy. This is what the new foreign minister has to say about that whole Jewish thing:

Sudan’s new FM open to relations with Israel, if Palestinian conflict resolved

[IsraelTimes] Asma Abdullah, first woman in her country’s history to be top diplomat, says ‘now is not the time,’ but adds that most Arab states maintain some ties with Jewish state.

In other words, while one hand wants the Jews to return, with their investments, cleverness, and charities (nailed it, Frank
G), the other hand thinks Jews are decidedly icky. Scorpians, indeed, as Elmerert Hupens2660 points out.
