#1 Mehbooba Mufti, the ex-chief minister is an ex because she was a separatist sharia-monger in disguise as a liberal leader, gaming the democratic system to support her ISI masters. She's one of the local leaders Pakistain promises the keys to 'New Kashmir' to, once it's 'free'.

The 'troops' are just police corps. No military deployment here. The new battalions are relieving guys who've been subject to the intifad dwindling now, reduced to spittle and stares really for almost a year now.

Article 35A will be scrapped, but not with a bang. The kashmiris will capitulate with a whimper, but first their capabilities to retaliate need to be wrested from them. I already have property picked out for a summer retreat.

Beautiful countryside up there. A colleague married a lovely Kashmiri girl, and afterward showed us photos from their wedding trip.
