#1 The coffee giant apologized for any "misunderstanding or inappropriate behavior that may have taken place"

That sounds like an apology may have taken place. Or not. How does anyone over the age of 12 not know this is wrong?

#2 This response of the public occurs among those of checkered past. Perhaps they have a warrant on them or have had. I would be suspicious of Starbucks clientele.

I must add of what I have seen recently anxiety attacks among the public are increasing. It is no longer the drunks we must deal with, it's the druggies. In a full blown anxiety attack they will take anything. Refuse to go anywhere. Communication is very limited. Police are our last line of defense. They must manage these people as in triage.

#3 And why didn’t they kick the customer who complained out?

#4 A proper response should have been to the customer “if you feel unsafe would you like me to call the police”?

#5 Cops should have turned to the employee and said "We're here to use the restroom", checkmate.

#6 So the next time Starbucks gets robbed, and they call 911, the police should say "Sorry, we can't go there. We wouldn't want anyone to feel unsafe."

Of course, the police won't actually do that.

#8 When does Starbucks close all stores for police sensitivity training? When will they install needle exchanges gun lube in all their bathrooms?

#9 gun lube in all their bathrooms?

Would just be used to lube the wrong sort of guns for all the wrong reasons.

#11 If someone opened a chain of LE friendly, CCW friendly coffee shops, how many minutes do you think it would be before starcuck's sued?

#13 Dunkin'

Well, yeah. I meant if someone advertised that LEOs and CCWs would be welcome. I'd imagine starcucks could not stand for that.

#14 Anyone feeling unsafe because of a police presence is hiding something.

#15 A customer in Starbucks who claims to feel unsafe is being dramatic for the attention points.

#17 Maybe another good response would have been to say to the police "The customer by the window in the brown shirt says you make him feel uncomfortable. Do you recognize him?"

#18 Maybe another good response would have been to say to the police "The customer by the window in the brown shirt says you make him feel uncomfortable. Do you recognize him?"

Ask for his ID and check for outstanding warrants.

#19 From an article in line comment:

Expensive burnt coffee with a liberal attitude. Why I don't patronize them

And fancy drinks loaded with sugar.

#21 I am reminded of my ex-mayor. He told Humpy Wheeler (owner of Charlotte Motor Speedway) he wouldn't allow Humpy to build his new drag racing venue because one of his constituents didn't like the noise it would create. Guess what became of that little dust up?
