#1 Apparently a long-winded study into raising children. With categories and sub-categories. Yes, it gives the right answers, but you could have got that from Proverbs. Only if the 'experts' didn't hate the Bible with pathological hatred.

"He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.." and also, " Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it."

I find there's a compulsive obsession in the academic world to derive convenient doctrines from hypotheses. Hypotheses arrived at through analyses of statistical outcomes. From micromanaged or controlled conditions or often utter fantasy, 'experts' gain 'insightful' knowledge that they then present to boards and committees which then experiment on society by setting them into policy. Before we know it, we have a nanny State.

An over reaching bureaucratic monstrosity that intrudes into family, marriage, childhood, playpens, bedrooms, bathrooms... it doesn't end. A style of bathing linked to a particular sexual fetish ? Obese, consumerist youth linked to abusive fathers ? An unhealthy interest in extreme activities linked to drinking too much caffeine ? A statistician will get you any result your mind is set upon. And politicians that see their agendas mirrored in the 'findings' can take it from there.

If parents today find themselves helpless with their children, facing delinquency disguised as teenage angst and 'anxieties', unable to impart the right moral education to their dependents, it's partly because of their dependence on 'experts' and 'counselors' and the ~~nanny~~State interference in family. Of course the primary reason is we have neglected our basic faiths; the Judaeo-christian values that founded American society being thoroughly discredited in the eyes of people by the ungodly church.
