#4 Here's an idea: just give it back to the Irish. It relieves a massive headache and security issue for Britain and sticks the Irish Republic with the bill and headache for figuring out how to integrate the two "Irish" societies.

It will keep the Irish busy for a decade at least, sort of like East and West Germany.

#8 Swap the Northern Irish Protestants for the United Kingdom Muslims, then give Northern Ireland back to Ireland.
