"The AIR MAX logo was designed to be a stylized representation of Nike’s AIR MAX trademark. It is intended to reflect the AIR MAX brand only. Any other perceived meaning or representation is unintentional."

tl;dr: They going to cave.

One simple solution is just stop selling sneakers to the Muslim world. Sure, you lose market share, but save on headaches like this. After all, it's not like they are going to run out and buy your shoes after you give in.
