#1 Lucky its a long distance from New Mexico, otherwise it would be The Plague. The sparseness of populations, nuanced medical personnel, and warning to not go out of the urban areas in shorts, pretty much keeps it to a handful of cases a year (not counting those shipped from neighboring states in their 'too late phase' for treatment).
