#2 This puts kind of a crimp in the Wisconsin Dems' plans to rail against the Foxconn project during the upcoming gubernatorial election. (You know, like too much tax money invested for TIF, water quality, infrastructure buildup 'disasters', etc.)

Had it been a Governor with a 'D' that made the Foxconn deal happen, all would be well.

University will satisfy new STEM recruitment goals with foreign scholarships. University will offer prioritized workstudy programs at Foxconn for scholarship students. Foxconn will hire 'experienced' workstudy graduates at a higher rate which will subsidize the student loan payoff.

No STEM for domestics, baby.

#5 They make the STEM take the "Studies" classes to subsidize them. Did, even in 79-83 when I was getting my degree

#7 We are already awash in somber committees fretting about the sex ratio in engineering and science, and I've heard trial balloons lofted suggesting that new hires should correct this. I suspect things will start going to hell about the time I retire. It turns out that STEM majors may be smarter than the average, but they mouth the same foolish nonsense.
