#7 Well, yes Clem, I was about to suggest something along those lines myself. IIRC, US foreign aid to Mexico amounts to about half a billion dollars a year. Trump should tell them they can either use whatever it takes of that money to properly treat Tijuana's sewage or else they won't get another penny.

#8 And Raj, Imperial Beach never was a garden spot. I guess at one time it could have been, you know, before people moved there. North of IB, the Silver Strand and Coronado are very nice but often polluted by Tijuana sewage. I don't live anywhere near any of those places.

#9 IIRC the sewage treatment was turned off in response to Trump's winning the election. The Mexicans are making a point. Cutting a little foreign aid might be persuasive.

#10 I live in east county, but ~~grew up~~ got older from birth in Chula Vista. The Tijuana river is a nightmare in rainy season with trash, sewage, disease, old tires, etc. flowing freely from Messico

#12 g(r)omgoru, San Diego built a wall long before Trump got the idea. I don't know if we are a sanctuary city or not but I doubt it. That sort of crazy usually comes from Los Angeles or the San Francisco area.

#15 theoretically we are a "sanctuary city", however ICE, DHS, and CBP have access to prisoners and it's really a non-issue
