If Tesla manages to pull it off they can crater the price of oil, cause enough people to flip to voting Dem in Texas just to be able to keep their health care, and then after the dems win their next national level election... boom, amnesty, permanent democrat majority, end of real capitalism in the US... nothing but technogarches and serfs... and that's a society they can continue to make a deal with.
