#1 Smeggin' hell! How much math do you need to teach elementary? I suspect what is happening is the prospective teachers are getting a taste of the new Common Core curriculum and it's confusing the poor dears.

#3 The important thing is that they feel GOOD about themselves.

#4 All of their electives were in Union Organizing Outreach 1001 and miscellaneous Social Studies 3003? Who needs those icky STEM courses when you need to organize against The Systemâ„¢!

#5 This seems to be an ongoing problem in several other states as well. In April, WTHR in Indiana reported that some teachers were choosing not to settle in the state because the licensing test was so hard to pass:

#6 #4 magpie, believe me, you really don't want to deal with female teachers specializing in STEM subjects - brainless parrots doesn't even start describing it.

#7 Just try to find some sample questions. Looks like you don't get to see a practice test until you pay up - $100 to $200 and nearly that much for a re-test.

#8 Pay 100$-200$ for a Certification Test? Is this a legitimate test or a Credential Scam between the testers and corrupt officials?

#9 Most IT certification tests run $120-150 a pop, so I can see a certification test for teachers running $100 a taking.
