IRGC-commanded militias (Ma’ayouf’s crew and Liwa al-Baqir) again crossed the Euphrates in Deir Ezzor. Then get pushed back by SDF, and reportedly slaughtered by US strikes, again, while others taken prisoner.

If the US policy is to eliminate the Assad regime east of the Euphrates River (and unite a single Kurdistan), the fact that Deir Ezzor city is divided by the river itself will remain a sticking point for the foreseeable future.

#3 the syrian conflict is difficult to understand but this sentence from the AAWSAT article tops the confusion,

"Moscow is determined not to accept the rules of engagement agreed between Presidents of US and Russiaa,.."
