#2 It certainly appears she was judged by a jury of her peers (simple minded with low IQ).

#3 Seems the old 'lying to the FBI' has lost its panache with some juries.

#4 Possible scenario. I say again, possible scenario:

Mateen Sr. was a long time Bureau source. Bureau and or Mateen Case Officer decides Mateen Jr. would make a good source as well.

Sr. Mateen Case Officer pitches Mateen Jr. Younger Mateen discovers his father has betrayed the brotherhood for years. Mateen rejects pitch, becomes extremely butt hurt.

Case Officer senses trouble, is told to investigate Mateen (you created this POS, you fix it).

Younger Mateen discovers he's now being investigated by Bureau, then goes jihadi.

#5 As they say - more

“I wish that the FBI had recorded their interviews with Ms. Salman as there were several significant inconsistencies with the written summaries of her statements.”

#6 Must be the same tape recorder they used with Hillary's interview.

#7 “I wish that the FBI had recorded their interviews with Ms. Salman as there were several significant inconsistencies with the written summaries of her statements.”

Could there be a pattern developing with regard to the recording of FBI interviews ?

#8 Mateen Jr. could not hold a job. Someone finally hooked him up with G4S Secure Solutions. I wonder who provided the employment assistance ?

G4S Secure Solutions (USA) is a United States/ British-based security services company, and a subsidiary of G4S plc. It was founded as The Wackenhut Corporation in 1954, in Coral Gables, Florida, by George Wackenhut and three partners (all are former FBI agents). In 2002, the company was acquired for $570 million by Danish corporation Group 4 Falck (itself then merged to form British company G4S in 2004).[1] In 2010, G4S Wackenhut changed its name to G4S Secure Solutions (USA) to reflect the new business model.[2][3] The G4S Americas Region headquarters is in Jupiter, Florida.[4][5]

#9 At P2K's link in #5, the jury foreman says they were convinced the wife knew but were unable to convict based on the evidence presented.

Me, I'm starting to think the FBI punted so as not to reveal their own involvement. The fact that they do not record interviews does not inspire confidence.

#10 Four dead in Benghazi. 49 dead at Pulse nightclub in Orlando. Number of dead necessary for FBI 'written interview' evidently exceeds 49.

#11 The FBI did the same thing with Tsarnaev. They did not tell him he was identified by Russia, so he blamed his friends. They tried to recruit him and so insulting him. He proceeded to murder his three friends, and then went on to his bombing attack.
Regarding such matters the FBI has been worse than useless. They have been provoking massacres!

#12 Even a backwater sheriff's department can afford a video camera for interviews, having tape makes convictions so much easier for the prosecution. IMO the FBI refuses to change its interview policy in order to cover up their behavior--incompetent interrogations and creation of the facts as they want them. See: FBI lab scandals.

#13 N.B. if the FBI does or doesn't tape the interview, you'd better. If they object, end the conversation. Call your lawyer.
