This potential third intifada will lead to a permanent increase in armed Israeli civilians on the streets, permanently changing the odds of success and survival for those Palestinians and Israeli Arabs who obtain access to potential terror targets. And from a propaganda perspective, it is considerably less interesting when civilians successfully defend themselves against street crime than when eeeeevil Joo soldiers can be portrayed as attacking innocent Arab civilians.
