There are also Americans that oppose his policies the way they opposed many of the big spending policies of George W Bush and the social policies of Bill Clinton. You have to be historically ignorant (or believe your audience is) to make this sort of nonsense claim.

Everyone said this guy went to Stanford and was actually bright so I have to assume he's playing to the audience.
