Aside from roosting pigeons, there has been no noticeable increase in tourism at Menteng Park. Many of the locals have become disillusioned and are now very upset as well.

#2 I find the idea of a revival in Southern Italy intriguing and just a bit scary. Are they Holiness or Church of God? Big difference between handling feets and handling snakes you know.

#3 The southern part of Italy never really recovered from the devastation of the Second Punic War. The duplicity of the locals (largely Greek in culture and loyalty) and multiple years of scorch earth practices to keep the Carthaginians bottled up in the area didn't play much for sympathy from Rome for reconstruction afterwards. By the end the Senate was too busy dealing with issues generated by their new acquisitions and ensuing conflicts to spend its treasury on revitalization.
