#1 So even tho this story involves a Democratic Senator, booze an auto accident and leaving the scene, it doesn't count because the passenger survived and no bridges or Oldsmobiles were harmed in the making of this incident. (USN,Ret. using a travelnym)

#2 IIRC Snellings' cousin, son of Mayor Mitch Landrieu, got busted for DWI last year. Never heard anything more of it, after the arrest.
