#1 Green Beret medic Christopher Speer was unavailable for comment, and I've haven't found any comments from the Afghan kids he pulled out of a minefield.

#2 As a Canuckian, all I can say is: why didn't your guys kill him when they had the chance?

Thanks alot my Yank friends.

#3 Looking for some "killing" are you Craling? There may be some Canadian Army logistics folks left at Kandahar you can link-up with, unless they have packed up and are gone now as well.

#4 Been watching Copper on BBC America. Granted, the protagonist is an Irish immigrant working as a NYC cop right at the end of the Civil War, but it appears somebody in Merrye Olde Englande has a soft spot for rough justice.

I wonder what's prompting that attitude? Hmmmm???

#5 Oops, that comment belongs with "Rival families street brawl story."

Still, Omar needs rough justice too...

#6 The majority of Canadians supported the campaign to repatriate Khadr, now 26.

Oh, yeah? Show me the evidence. Or do I just take the BBC's word on that?
Oh, well. Maybe some whackjob inmate takes it upon himself to make Omar's prison stay...shorter than expected. He might've been safer in Guantanamo.

#7 I've never been in a Canadian prison(or a Turkish prison either). I assume that they are very nice, with very polite guards, of course.

Do they provide halal meals, a pointer to Mecca, education opportunities, and all the other benefits that Gitmo does?

Glinesh Craling, if they had killed him, people would have screamed about US forces murdering a 15 year old. Even though he had already killed a US soldier.

As I've said for years, I wish the US would fully implement the Geneva Conventions we have signed. These include a drumhead courtmartial, followed by execution upon conviction for illegal combatants.
