#1 Clearly a multi-pronged attack - with very careful preparation and planning for contingencies. The accruacy of the mortars implies that their fire was set up ahead of time ... carefully ranged to target. All the facts in this article seem to support the theory by Debka.com that this was a large Al Qaeda strike. The riots about the film were just a cover so that AQ could mount the attack. That's my $0.02 anyway.

It's really a tragedy to lose two ex-SEALS who were doing such fine work over there. The same comment goes for the US Marines who were killed.

#3 The bit about the film was to help gin up extra mobs after the fact and to provide justification for cowarice aming US leadership which plays into Al Quedas hands.
