#1 The tragedy is that the new regime in Libya is in all likelihood even more deterrable than the Duck was.

A self-confident and assertive West could wield beneficial influence and even in the worst case ensure that the new Libya poses no threat to Western freedom and sovereignty.

But I fear that this won't happen. As in Afghanistan the West will signal weakness and submission and even the new Libya will be provoked to do something foolish.
