#1 Cholera. The bacteria that ONLY spreads through fecal-oral contact. In other words, the only way to get cholera is to drink water that people have shit in. The cholera bacteria is highly vulnerable to the most basic sanitary practices.

#3 Yeah, the Nepalese discharged their toilets into water that Haitians used for drinking instead of just burning it in pits with diesel fuel.
