#1 Big offshore gas discovery straddles Israel-Lebanon boundary claims. In a somewhat similar situation all KSA could work out with Iraq &/or Kuwait was an agreement to disagree. Lebanon won't. More likely they'll just sabotage anything done by Israel.

Heh. Actually, one thought that occurred to me was they were traveling together under the buddy system in order to render aid in case of difficulties. Being followed by a real sub tender would be sooo embarrassing.
