#1 Again, it is the DPRK's interests to NOT appear as "too successful" in the eyes of overlord China, espec as per development or procurement of advanced military technologies [read, NucWeapons].

However, as Beijing's power + influence in NOKOR likely expands oer time via the new China-DPRK FTAS, IMO Kimmie + Regime's desire to protect their power = status quo, + their "NORTH KOREA FOR NORTH KOREANS/KOREA FOR KOREANS" ideo slogan may ultimately override the DPRK's fear of China's military reaction to its development of potent indigenous Nuclear Arsenals.

AS THE DPRK COVERTLY IMPROVES + EXPANDS ITS NUKE ARSENAL IT WILL GET "TWITCHY" AGZ THE ROK + US-JAPAN IN ORDER TO DIVERT CHINA'S ATTENTION.

IMO its why the DPRK this week + last, is still being described as "DANGEROUS" or "STILL DANGEROUS" by Top US Govt. Officials- Mil Commanders.

* RISING CHINA = PATH TO ITS EFFEC BREAKING OF THE "FIRST ISLAND CHAIN" BARRIERS, ESPEC IN NE ASIA, LIES THRU ITS SOVEREIGN RECOVERY OF TAIWAN [+ Okinawa?] WHICH LIES THRU CHINA'S MILPOL CONTROL OR DOMINATION OF NORTH KOREA + KOREAN PENINSULA.
