#3 I worked in a sweatshop sewing factory several summers to help pay for my undergrad degree. (Truly sweatshop - no A/C, piece rate pay only with lots of deductions and little English spoken.)

I can relate to young Limon's attempts to earn tuition in a brickyard if indeed he was caught in a crossfire and didn't deserve it.
