#1 Maria Glod of the Washington Post said Teresa Lewis had a ''fearful expression'' shortly before her execution

Well, if I was taking the fast train to Hell in a couple of minutes, I might be just a tetch nervous myself.

#2 "learning difficulties" seems to be the Attorney's #1 excuse for every criminal too dumb to get away with it. Burn in hell, bitch

#4 Yeah, the news last night showed the usual suspects protesters outside the prison in Jarrett. Da poor bay-bee. NOT

On the bright side, one of the guys she hired to do the murders committed suicide in prison, so she'll have someone she knows to spend eternity in HELL with. Gee, maybe they can have sex - it worked out so well last time, didn't it?

From the article: "Virginia carries out the second highest number of executions of any state in the US."

You're welcome. We're number 2, so we have to try harder.

#5 "Lewis, who had learning difficulties, used sex and cash to persuade hitmen to kill her family in 2002."

Doesn't sound like she had too many learning difficulties.

#6 Usual Rantburg thought strangely not yet asked in the comments -- "how did the victims of her crime feel about her execution?"

#7 Doesn't sound like she had too many learning difficulties.

Learning difficulties and functioning difficulties are two different things, Magic Mark. People with dyslexia tend to have high IQs, and very often learn very well so long as they don't have to read to get the information, or write to share it. A great many fields do not require academic training for success -- mechanical things and sales come to mind. Although intelligence generally helps a person succeed in those fields as well as academic ones, certain learning disabilities are not necessarily the same handicap.
