#3 The comments at the link are not terribly enlightening with one exception. The mother posts a long comment that fills in a lot of detail and context to this story. She sounds reasonable enough on paper, so to speak, and claims she is a military veteran. Based on her account, I really think the school screwed themselves here. Instead of holding actual tryouts for the cheerleading team, which would have provided a forum for this kid to try out, they just told him he was on the team, no tryouts necessary. It was then that the AD and the school tried to prevent him from participating. Had the school held tryouts to begin with and decided then that he wasn't good enough to be on the cheerleading team, this whole thing would be a non-event.

#5 I don't understand why he is not a regular on reality tv. The scouts don't usually miss that level of qualification. Forget the school I think his mom has a case against several cable channels. He should have the same opportunity to hot-tub bask with skanks as any other freak with is level of dysfunction.
