#1 When telegraph first came to Saudi, they brought in a very senior scholar to determine if it was acceptable or not. To his credit, and the wit of those who had built the telegraph, the very first message was "Allah Akbar".

Seeing the way the wind was blowing, the scholar decided that a devilish device couldn't possibly transmit such a message, so it was cool.
