#2 Crappage. Not long ago I returned from 12 months fighting these poop-heads in eastern Afghanistan, and my wife just returned from a 15 month tour over there, and it now looks like we need to deploy a task force to battle them here on our own soil. Just kidding, this bloke is just a wannabe who will be dealt with (Hopefully) harshly by the court system, and ultimately will be dealt with severely by his maker. Prayers to the victims and their families. We'll see how the New, Improved(tm) Kinder, Gentler(c)administration deals with this.

Fondest and Best, Bodyguard

#3 Some questions that have not been answered yet:

Where and how did he convert?
Who was his imam?
How did he finance his trip to Yemen?
Who did he train with in Yemen?
What was his travel route to/from Yemen?
How many other recent converts have followed that same route?

How soon do you think the Mainstream media will do any investigative reporting?

#4 No worries. The FBI and the Justice Department had him fully under SURVEILLANCE! The Bureau's efforts were not much help for Private William Long however.

#5 Wouldn't the ACLU say...being a radical Muslim, going go Yemen (even for IED training) and spouting off anti-democratic themes is a right and people engaged in such must not be looked at since it is profiling and data-mining?

#7 Is this a hate crime in the US? Or will the US ACLU make this a government hate crime against the terrorist by bringing up his radical moslem training and the offense of the US military by wearing the uniform?

#8 "More and more looking like 'sudden jihadi syndrome"...

No. Sounds much more premeditated than that.

Let me give a big shout-out and hat-tip to the (cough...cough) to those members of the moderate American muslim ummah who tipped off the appropriate authorities that one of their own was about to go "suddendly jihad" on innocent men just doing their duty.

Take it to the bank: "Mujahid Mohammad" intent to kill wasn't sudden and the punk ass muslim wasn't the only one to know what was about to go down.

So the former Mr. Bledsoe wants martydom? Give him a fair trial and then the death penalty.

#9 the suspect advised them that he was going to kill as many Army personnel as possible.

Doesn't this make those sources criminally liable if they did not warn authorities?

#10 JihadWatch: Arkansas recruiting center jihadist killer studied jihad in Yemen
I have learned from a well-placed source that Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, who killed one soldier and wounded another at a a Little Rock military recruiting center today, and who faces charges of terrorism as well as first-degree murder, has recently returned from Yemen, where he studied jihad with an Islamic scholar there.

Apparently the Islamic scholar under whom this American convert to Islam studied was yet another misunderstander of Islam's true, peaceful teachings.

More on this as it develops.

Think any of this will make it to the evening news programs?

#11 I'm sure the man was in Yemen to study Islam's peace doctrine.

#12 So, at the trial, will the defendant be known as Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad or Carlos Leon Bledsoe?
Place your bets...

#14 Welcome back, Bodyguard, for you and for your wife.

We need to learn from this incident.
* All recruiters should be armed at all times in the future.
* "Sudden Jihad Syndrome" isn't.
* We are in a war to the death with ALL of Islam, and we need to admit it, at least to ourselves.
* It wouldn't hurt if the US government required that all retired military personnel and police officers who aren't suffering from the more serious cases of PTSD be armed at all times outside their homes, and issue each a national "concealed carry" permit, valid in all parts of the United States.

Unfortunately, it's doubtful if our nation, and certainly our government, will learn anything.

Best of all futures with that one! It takes a stack of papers and a letter signed by a General Officer for US Gov't contractors to be armed in a combat zone.
