#1 The United States says the Taliban is responsible for at least some of the deaths, but Mullen didn't spend much time defending U.S. actions.

Might be nice to take the initiative to broadcast loud, long, and clear that the Talibs are taking human shields as hostages and the deaths are their responsibility alone. Nice fade, Admiral
