I fear that they will not allow themselves to be driven from Pakistan. They will take the place and then use Pakistani nukes to bring on what they hope will be the end of the world. Millions will die, the Al-Q leadership that goes with them will rejoice, and bin Laden and the rest of his crew will stay safe in their caves, plotting their comeback.

#3 Two events which could produce significant change, or cataclysmic results are an Indian invasion of Pakistan and the inevitable Israeli intervention in Iran. Ironically, both could take place as a result of the West's past diplomatic failures and consciece acts of omission in the areas of strategic nuclear proliferation.
