#1 The terrorists goal may be to take 'credit' for driving the US out of Iraq, but they may well regret our departure (especially the AQI factions), as I think the Iraqi government forces are mostly strong enough now and a whole lot less constrained by 'civilized' ROE. They don't have smart bombs, but with enough soldiers and enough callousness about collateral damage, AK-47 bullets can do just fine.
