#2 What's that dome behind the boat being lifted?
I thought it was a phalanx, bt I see no gun barrels, kinda low for a radome.

#3 RJ- I think that's the radome for the Sparrow close-in defense system. The Boxer should have two sets - fore and aft.

The Boxer should ALSO have about 1500 Marines on board...

#4 How strange - pictures of ships that actually seem to be the ships named in the captions. Does the MSM know you can actually do that?

#5 I am not disparaging by any means the crewmembers of the Boxer, but right now that name just doesn't sound reassuring.

#7 In the clearing stands a Boxer,
and a fighter by his trade,
and he carries the reminder,
of every glove that cut him down,
or hurt him so he cried out,
In his anger and his rage,
I am leaving, I am leaving,
But the fighter stil remains

get the idea, Boxer is a respectable fighting ship name.

#8 I hope that isn't Barbara Boxer.

#9 The first "Boxer" was actually a British ship that we 'acquired' in 1813 during a 'contest' with the first USS Enterprise. (sorry, being too PC)
