#2 I think it's a temporary, tactical retreat on their part. They must be outnumbered 20 to 1. Once they get their families safely out of the way they'll 'reconsider' the jizya.

#3 Rs 20 million is $250,000. For 15 Pakistani Sikh families to pay this pretty much wipes them out. That's nearly $17K/family in a country whose per capita GDP is less than $1000. What will the Sikhs do the next time the wolf's dinner bell rings?
