#4 Actually, Frank G, I think there's fair chance that one or more such museums (documenting the atrocities of the regime) will be available in Iraq. I should know, but don't, whether one already exists up in Kurdistan. Such a museum in Arab Iraq would probably have to be in Basra or another southern Shi'a city for security reasons.

A group I believe called the Iraq Memory Foundation has for some time had a sort of museum and archive in a house in the International Zone, on the river looking across at the old Sheraton Ishtar (?) hotel. Don't know if they're still there. They were using the former house of a famous Iraqi artist from the 60s/70s - pretty modern, looked to be 70s style.

#5 Oh, and the really valuable Saddam watches were the ones handed out by the regime. I believe some were actually gold (I recall former congressman and State Dept. official Steve Solarz received one during a visit).

I don't have anything like that, but I do have some coins (like military unit coins) commemorating the first trial (Dujayl case) and I think some other stuff that's tucked away for posterity (or our own trials, when the dipsticks come for those who so arrogantly helped put away the 3rd most heinous tyranny of modern history).

#6 Verlaine - my 2 cents. I'm just cynical (no kidding?) that they'll do a whitewash in the "interest of nationalism and unity". To some extent, that's a valid goal. Live for the future, but don't forget the past is a lofty goal. However, some will try to paint Saddam as the Uber-Iraqi, even in death.
