#1 The Taliban are united, have one leader, one aim, one policy...I do not know why they are talking about moderate Taliban and what it means?

Bambi you need to know their mindset you are either a believer like themselves or an infidel no middle ground!

Is there such a thing as a moderate muslim these days?They all want the same thing a world governed by Islamic/Gods law!

Yes. I know a few. (At least I think I know them - better than W. knew Putin.) But they are either rare, or very discrete about their moderation.

#3 In fairness to Obama he probably meant to reach out to some of the tribes that are Taliban allies but who can be bribed, coerced or enticed to switch sides.

Of course saying that way wouldn't have made the right sound.

#8 Is there such a thing as a moderate muslim?

I know a few too, including some women professors in Iraqi universities (Sunni Arab and Kurd). They're a bit safer now but for a long time they were targets for the insurgents.
