#1 Gazans voted Hamas into power to thumb their noses at the world and make a mockery of the free election system. They were laughing at the world.

They aint laughing any more are they?
And Hamas isn't going to make nice with Fatah, so I guess they better get used to living the way they are.

#2 Regarding the $1.4 billion quoted figure... most of that will be wages. It seems excessively high to me. It costs the rebuilding at half a million dollars per hamas target.

#3 1.4Billion? They must have destroyed EVERY structure in Gazaland to reach that figure.

#4 Well, considering Hamas has been destroying its own infrastructure to fire rockets at Israel, there wasn't much left to destroy.

#5 Why is the UN going to send people to fix that hellhole when there is a 50% unemployment rate? Shouldn't they put some of those dingleberries to work fixing their hovels?

I dunno....maybe they might take better care of them if they realize how hard it is to build something? (No wonder they act like spoiled brats....they've always had everything handed to them.)

Besides, if Achmed is busy on the construction crew, he won't have much time for rocket shooting practice.

#6 To get those numbers they must have a swarm of insurance adjusters in Gaza. Or is that subcontracted to Hamas?

Baksheesh man, or in local terms..The Chicago Way.
You know a hundred million here and a hundred there and pretty soon you're talking serious money.

#8 1.4 Billion. A couple of million for building and the rest for "Consulting Fees" for Hanas.

#11 "Europe's top four fundraisers for the Palestinians [...] are meeting in Paris on Thursday to discuss Gaza's reconstruction and the possibility of holding a new donors' conference."

The war against Hamas nazislamist terrorists isn't finished yet, but the European pro-Islamic dhimmicrats are already planning to give again billions to the criminals living in Gaza.

Alan Dershowitz is right : terrorism succeeds only because it earns money.

Donors and fundraisers for the Arabs are supporting Hamas and Fatah terrorism.

#12 I don't care if it's a trillion dollars, not a dime should be spent in Gaza. Hamass caused the problem, let them fix it. If they can't, or won't, maybe Achmed the charcoal merchant will learn that just wishing for something won't get it, and it takes elbow grease and sweat equity. That's a lesson the entire muddled east needs to learn the hard way. Screw them all. Take Saudi Arabia's oil, and let the rest of the entire area rot.

I took a look at Mecca and Medina on Google the other day - now I know why Hamass are such moles. It runs in the Arab blood. There must be 50 tunnels in Mecca alone. Wonder what a Tomahawk in each one would do...
