#1 A ministry spokesman said no Afghan soldiers were killed in operation and that only four civilians died.

Must have been accidentally killed by Afghan forces. Otherwise they would have been condemning coalition forces up one side and down the other.

Maybe they WERE local until they fled with the Taliban. If the only contact was a brief phone report who could tell? Now that the town is nearly secured they should repeating this story on CNN, right? More Islamist BS propaganda. They bragged big before the battle, got their butts whipped, and have to make up some stories to retain any credibility. And we report their stories as if they are true - without even a caveat.

#3 The Taleban have been in Musa Qala for what, eight months? That's long enough to qualify as "local".
