#2 Rowhani probably represents the islamokleptist faction of the govt.

The mismanagement of the economy by AhmadiNejad has hurt the business class a lot (the combined loss of their stock exchange and currency is about 40% in the past 3 years) and thus hurt the people who get bribes from the business class.
