#2 If some yahoo rammed it with his car, it should be fairly simple to check with the local repair shops, not exactly CSI work, but it should be done. The local cops are idiots.

#3 Veterans tend to get testy about such things. I remember one such who spotted some 'youths' vandalizing a veterans' cemetery. He went through those 'youths' like a tornado, with a pair of octagonal nunchucks, leaving them curled up in agony on the grass.

The police actually had to carry them to their cars, as they were not up for walking or even standing upright.
