#2 Anybody catch that last paragraph? It looks like the ISOF is beginning to conduct SUCCESSFUL raids on their own, without US Special Forces advisers. That is a VERY good sign, especially if they target AQ, JAM, and any rogue Kurdish outfits equally. Once they can work on their own without going back to "old" practices, the US can do something else - like crush Iran.
