#2 Read late, somewhere today, that the Iranian "government" was shutting down any reports of any burnings or violence about this gas shortage thingy from being reported. Makes one wonder what happened on Thursday and what is happening on Friday, since all we have are the Wednesday reports.

#4 Wait until their handful of broken down refineries are bombed. And that will have to happen before the next legislative session. If I am right, there will be major finger pointing in Iran, and much will focus on the wealth that the Ayatollahs have confiscated from Iranians.

the Mullahs have been pouring money by the boat load into groups like Hezbollah, Hamas,(and about a hundred others) for years. And to what benefit of the Iranian people? They have it coming, soon I hope.

Isn't it more likely that some critical parts would suddenly give way for no obvious reason... especially if said parts could be easily reached by a clever -- no, never mind, such things are unthinkable in The Land Allah So Clearly Favours.

#9 I think that right about now the job openings for fuel truck drivers are increasing; next logical step after loss of the filling stations is to begin hijacking the trucks. due to dinnerjacket's blackout we won't probably know for awhile, but i expect the lorry drivers are getting nervous.

#10 If it weren't for the specter of Iranian nuclear weapons, the whole spectacle of a country in possession of huge oil reserves going through gasoline rationing would be totally hilarious.

Once again, the Bush administration is missing the boat by not trumpeting how Iran has destroyed its economy through financing terrorism and pursuing nuclear arms. This is a glorious opportunity to highlight the fragility and incompetence of Islamic government along with the toll taken by Muslim backwardness.
