#1 For a millisecond, I read the headline as "IRS Sends Suicide Units" What a relief.

#2 I doubt this. The IRG hasn't previously been into suicide attacks.

They did help muster a corps (later corpses) of teen age suicide cannon fodder during the 80s in the Iran-Iraq war.

#3 It's DEBKA ... that pretty much means it is false. I don't understand why DEBKA reports get posted on this site. They are 99% of the time wrong.

#4 I think their accuracy depends on location. For local stuff, they are pretty square on. Their problems begin when they think they understand what other countries are doing. If they are just reporting it, its fairly accurate, but when they analyze it, they are often wide of the mark.

They have been square on about US naval movements, for one thing.

#5 The stuff they are 'square' on is usually available elsewhere. For instance, we recently saw a story about Iranian choppers in S. Iraq. I suppose this is what they are building on here. I am not sure I believe it even though it was in the Telegraph.

#6 The helicopters over the border deal was a circular-sourced story, all going back to one eyewitnes. Abu Mazan aka Abu Abudalluah aka Mahmoud the Rat.

#7 And was it the Telegraph? I recall it was the Sun?

#8 FREEREPUBLIC > widespread gas riots reported in Iran. Will say again that POTUS Dubya = USA is entrenching both Regionally and Globally - Iran is facing economics-induced implosion, or in the altern will choose to attack, i.e. initiate or support Terror-World War scenarios involving conventional-nuclear military confrontation amongst the great powers. I see little to nothing in MSM interview and debate transcripts of major or most-likely-to-succeed 2008 POTUS hopefuls that would put confidence in MOUD = Iran's hopes that the USA will leave Iraq before or even after 2008.

#9 We could do a Debka experiment where we tip them to a piece of "special Intel" and see if they bite.

perhaps Mossad "owns them" and uses them to run up their "fictitious Intel"....
