#4 i rather doubt that israel will go extinct from rockets fired into open fields. Or artillery shells that fall on the Gaza side of the "border". Especially as long as Israel continued to respond with effective actions against "militants" which they did yesterday in Gaza.

#5 3dc - I agree. Not only the present Israeli leadership but even Sharon who created the Gaza pullout plan. Even when Netenyahu predicted what would happen (i.e. Hamas would take over,etc.) Even our leadership especially when it comes to Iran and Syria. If we do not take out Iranian support to the insurgents and their nuclear program we can kiss Israel, Saudi Arabia and Iraq good bye in 5-10 years time. What would Truman do?
